Hon. Tina Brooks Green (Ret.)

Former Chief Judge, 34th District Court

Three decades on the 34th District Court bench, 25 of them as Chief Judge, with a background in intellectual property and corporate litigation and statewide leadership in judicial education.

Judge Green was elected to the 34th District Court in November 1994 and served for three decades, including 25 years as Chief Judge, presiding over civil, misdemeanor, traffic and felony preliminary matters and overseeing the court's $17.5 million courthouse construction project. She established and led a hybrid drug court for more than twenty years.

She served nearly two decades on the Board of the Michigan District Judges Association, holding every executive position including President. Her legal career began in the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office and the Michigan Attorney General's Office before private practice at Brooks Kushman, where she handled trademark, copyright, intellectual property and corporate litigation.

Since retiring from the bench in December 2024, Judge Green is a certified civil case mediator providing mediation and arbitration in state and federal civil cases through TBGreen LLC in association with MI-JADR.

She chairs the Michigan Impaired Driving Task Force, a statewide NHTSA initiative, and serves as Michigan's State Judicial Outreach Liaison with the Michigan Judicial Institute and State Court Administrative Office, providing peer-to-peer training for judges across the state.
